Getting & Staying There


By Car

To get to Northam by road travel East on the Great Eastern Highway for approximately 90 minutes, then follow the signs and turn right off the highway to come into the town of Northam. The start of the event will be in Bernard Park alongside the Avon River and opposite the Northam Visitor Centre.

Bakers Hill is easy as it is on the Great Eastern Highway.  The start is at the park on the Perth side of Bakers Hill where the Tourist Information Board is just as you come into Bakers Hill.

People going to Chidlow need to follow the Great Eastern Hwy and turn left onto the Old Northam Road. The Chidlow start is at the sports fields on the right-hand side as you come in to Chidlow.


 

Public Transport Options

TransWA buses and trains also service Northam, departing from East Perth or Midland Terminal. Please call TransWA on 1300 66 22 05 for bookings, or see www.transwa.wa.gov.au .

If required, the TransPerth bus services 314, 323 and 324 all pass close to the event finish at Swan View and will take competitors and spectators to the Midland Railway Station for an easy train trip back to Perth.
